Pinto and Keita celebrated the victory
With the 1-0 win in Valencia, Barça has broken a new all-time record of away wins. Here are some stats from the match between Valencia and FC Barcelona.

Barça reached 20 away games unbeaten in the league, beating the run of 19 games achieved by Real Sociedad between 1979 and 1980.

- In addition, Barça has recorded 12 victories in 13 away games in 2010/11 season is only one away from the previous record achieved in seasons 2008/09 and 2009/10.

- Third time lucky. Guardiola's team won away at Valencia, something they had never done. The two previous visits ended in draws, 2-2 and 0-0..

- In the last five seasons, following the 26th match-day, Barca’s points total has progressively grown: 2006/07 (50 pts), 2007/08 (54 pts), 2008/09 (63 pts), 2009/10 (65 pts) and 2010/11 (71 pts).

- Busquets is still the talisman. The side now has 25 consecutive league wins with him in the starting line-up.

Dani Alves Said "I can’t imagine Alves without Barça"

Dani Alves has once again shown "optimism” with regard to his contract renewal. The Brazilian full-back thinks Barça is better as a team than Madrid, but doesn’t think that the 7 point difference in the League is definitive.

In the press conference on Monday, Dani Alves speculated, again, that he’s very close to renewing his contract with the club. "I can’t imagine Alves without Barça," he said. The defender was optimistic and said that if it was up to him, "it would be 100% certain”, although he admitted that the agreement "depends on the two sides".

His dream is to continue
Alves made it clear that he felt "greatly valued by the team and the Club….for my part, I just try to work hard every day so the dream becomes reality…my dream and my desire are to continue with Barça." Alves admitted that negotiations "are not just about money" and that he would like the problem to be sorted out as soon as possible “so that I can relax”.

The Mallorca performance
DSC_2293.JPGDani Alves also praised the team's performance in Mallorca, despite the missing players (including himself): "It was a comfortable game apart from the first few minutes. Both Adriano and the rest of the players were excellent, just another demonstration that everybody gets on with the job so that the absent players are not missed". He added: "I’m confident that with this group we’ll go a long way. We’ve never doubted that we have a very talented squad."

Lead not relevant
After the win and Madrid’s setback at Deportivo, Barça have recovered the seven point lead at the top of the table. "Madrid will only drop a few points but they’re human and will get it wrong sometime. Going back to a 7 point lead is not important, because there are lots of points at stake," said Alves. However, he does see Barça one step ahead of Madrid: "Collectively we’re better than them and if we carry on like we are we’ll meet our objectives."

Messi to recieve Golden Boot

Leo Messi’s 34 league goals last season were enough to win him the award for topping the European club goalscoring charts. He will collect the trophy this afternoon at the Estrella Damm factory in Barcelona.

This is the first time the world’s greatest player has won this accolade. He won by scoring five more times than the players that ended joint second, Chelsea’s Didier Drogba and Udinese’s Antonio Di Natale, both with 29.

Record breaking campaign
The 2009/10 season was Messi’s fifth as a pro, and in it he produced an extraordinary 34 league goals. He had previously scored 23 in 2008/09, while his first three seasons pale in comparison: 6 (05/06), 14 (06/07) and 10 (07/08).
